Washing or sanitising your hands is the recommended approach to decrease the impact of catching germs on them. Correct Handwashing can be done without much effort and it prevents us from major diseases. It takes only 20 seconds to wash your hands effectively –

  1. Wet your hands under clean/warm running water and apply soap or any hand cleanser.
  2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together and scrub for at least 20 seconds. Remember to wash your wrists, and on the back of your hands too.
  3. Rinse your hands well with clean/warm running water and dry using a clean towel or air dry them.

  • Educate your children to wash their hands regularly to help prevent them from getting sick.
  • Promote handwashing on social media to prevent your community from diseases. The regular cold and this season's flu virus, and flow Covid-19, great handwashing hygiene can hinder disease and furthermore diminish the spread.
  • Ask your elders (older people), the people with a low/weakened immune system to maintain hygiene by regularly washing your hands.
